ORIG DESCRIPTION
*
Spores ovate or vase-shaped in outline, distal end broadly rounded, proximal end slightly narrowed and flat, subtending a pore or hilum; size of spores in 10 specimens 44-55 x 25-30 µm, size of holotype 55 x 30 µm; [spores with] more than three cells, holotype having four cells, terminal cell hemispherical, other cells flat trapezium-shaped, without distinct constrictions at the septa; spores monoporate, pore at the proximal end, pore 4-6 µm wide; spore wall about 1 µm thick, surface smooth, black.
COMMENTS
*
Distinguished from other known species of the genus Pluricellaesporites by its larger size and simple pore. Etymology: from locality of the type specimens.
PUBLICATION REFERENCE

K&J REMARKS
Although the presence of a distal pore is only barely indicated in the photograph of the type, the overall outline and flat proximal face suggested to Kalgutkar and Jansonius (2000) affinity to Anatolinites.
