ORIG DESCRIPTION* ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS: [combined description] Conidia oblong-cylindrical or oblong-elliptical, with obtuse or rounded ends, uniseptate, with septum slightly constricted, hyaline, 7-8 x 3 µm.

K&J REMARKS With no illustration of the spores, the name of the genus is not validly published, in spite of the fact that the locations where the type material was found and the specimens are stored, are cited: Types from near Rasdan, Armenia, USSR, in Tertiary clays, at a depth of 978988 m, between Upper Paleogene and Lower Neogene strata, [VII 1968, E. Eramian -- meaning of this unclear: date, name of collector?]; permanent preparation conserved at Faculty of Cryptogam Botany, University of Erevan.
