LOCATION Shahejie Formation: Qingteng county and Fanxian county of Henan Province, China.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Spores elongated vase-shaped, 35-44 x 15-20 µm in size, holotype 41 x 16 µm. Spores 1-celled, one end broadly rounded, other end pointed with a drawn-out neck; with a pore situated at the end of the projection. Spore wall about 1 µm thick, surface smooth or scabrate, without folds or finely streaky ornamentation.
COMMENTS* In shape, the species is similar to Lacrimasporonites minutaestriatus [Ke & Shi, 1978], but the latter has finely streaky ornamentation, whereas the surface of this species is essentially smooth.
