SPECIES, AUTHORITY M. singularovalis Kalgutkar & Jansonius 2000
LOCATION Puryear clay pit, one-half mile south of Puryear, Henry County, Tennessee, USA.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Oval-oblong fungal spore 10.6 x 16.4 µm, flat area with pore at terminal end to one side of longitudinal center. Psilate, wall 1 µm thick.
COMMENTS* The specific name indicates that the shape of the spore is not of the usual spatulate form.
