SPECIES, AUTHORITY P. lunpolaensis Zhang Zhongying 1980, p. 299, pl. 1, fig. 12.
LOCATION Niubao Formation, Lunpola Basin, northern Xizang Plateau, Xizang, China.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Fungal spores of four cells, with a single germinal aperture; shape of the spores ovoidal and their size 25.1 x 35.1 µm. The aperture is located at the narrow end of the spore and is offset from its long axis, making the spore noticeably asymmetrical around its long axis. The largest cell is located at the inaperturate end of the spore; the height of this cell is almost half the length of the entire spore, making the spore appear swollen in that area. External wall of the spore 0.5 µm thick, with a psilate surface that bears plications. Three transverse septa are present; these septa are distinct, straight, and 2.4-3.6 µm wide.
