LOCATION Northern Thrace Basin, Turkey.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Unicellular, aseptate, inaperturate, irregularly circular fungal spores. Exine is 1-2 µm thick and echinate with numerous 5-7 µm long spines. Size 28-40 µm in diameter.
COMMENTS* Uncinulites pampalonii differs from U. baccarinii Pampaloni 1902, emend. Salmon 1903, by having 50-80 short spines.

K&J REMARKS From the illustration of this grain, Kalgutkar and Jansonius (2000) see some similarity to angiosperm pollen.
