K&J REMARKS It appears that this name was not validly published because the author did not specify where the holotype is stored, and did not provide a Latin or English translation. (Art. 36.3, ICBN.) The type specimen is a four-celled spore, 35-40 x 20-23 µm in size, and very similar to B. cotalis (Elsik & Jansonius) Norris 1986.
