LOCATION Padappakkara, Quilon District, Kerala State, South India.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Fungal spores di- or multicellate and balloon-shaped. Size 38-43 x 22-30 µm. Cells unequal, small cell hyaline and thin, measuring 4-10 x 3-6 µm broad. Larger apical cell or cells forming a dome-shaped, thick and dark colored to opaque structure 23-40 x 14-32 µm. Septa 2-3 µm thick, smooth to wedge-shaped.
COMMENTS* Brachysporisporites pyriformis Lange & Smith 1971 is smaller in size (36-41 x 15-18 µm) and pyriform.
