PUBLICATION REFERENCE Song Z, et al. 1999. Fossil spores and pollen of China. Vol. 1. The Late Cretaceous and Tertiary spores and pollen; Science Press. [ISBN 7-03-006724-X]. Fungi: p. 1-59. p. 824-825. (Engl. transl.).
K&J REMARKS It appears that this name was not validly published because the author did not specify where the holotype is stored, and did not provide a Latin or English translation. (ICBN, Art. 36.3.) The illustrated specimen measures 85 µm in diameter; particularly its radial cell walls are thick, causing the whole spore to be rather opaque. In overall appearance, this species resembles C. ramanujamii (Saxena & Singh) comb. nov., but its pores are more numerous and distinct.
