LOCATION Cerrejon basin, Colombia.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Spore bicellular, inaperturate, brown and smooth. The two cells are unequal in size; 8 x 7µm and 7 x 6 µm (length x width). The walls are fine (0.25 µm) and the ends rounded. The cells are thickened on either side of the septum (3 µm), which is slightly constricted (6 µm). This spore is associated with septate, branched filaments 4 µm in diameter. The mycelial cells vary in length from 5-10 µm, some of them (terminal ones) are globular (diameter 10 µm). The mycelium and spore are found on the surface of a cuticle characterized of large polygonal cellareae. [Unedited translation from French; GSC Calgary Library, Translation No. T4047624.]
