Spores muriform, ellipsoid to ovoid in outline, of many hyaline thin-walled polyhedral cells irregularly arranged; the spore more than one cell thick. Observed lengths 24-28 µm, observed widths 10-17 µm.

As for the genus. The transfer of this species, the type of Pleosporonites, makes the latter a junior taxonomic synonym of Dictyosporites.
