K&J REMARKS This species was described as "Didymosporonites" saccatus. This may be an unintentional orthographical error for Didymoporisporonites (because Salard-Cheboldaeff & Locquin separately listed all new genera proposed in their paper, and "Didymosporonites" was not included in this list). However, Kalgutkar and Jansonius (2000) accept the generic name in its original orthography as validly published with a combined description, because the unusual two-layered wall construction warrants the species to be recognized in a separate genus.
