LOCATION Puryear clay pit, one-half mile south of Puryear, Henry County, Tennessee, USA.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Tricellate, psilate fungal spore 4.8 x 11.6 µm, apex tapered to a point, opposite end flat. Wall 1 µm thick, two opaque septa.
COMMENTS* The specific name describes the pointed spore apex.
