ORIG DESCRIPTION

Spores dark brown, 5-celled, fusiform, 49.5-55.6 x 15.6-18.5 µm, central cells 10.2 x 17 µm, terminal cells smaller, conicotruncate, 8.5 x 6.8 µm, diporate, one pore at each end, transverse septa fairly thick and dark, wall 1.7 µm thick, psilate.
COMMENTS
*
Diporicellaesporites pluricellus from the Eocene of Kutch (Kar & Saxena, 1976) is elongate-elliptical and has 7-11 cells.
