LOCATION Southern Bohai Sea region; Guantao Formation, China.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Type specimen 43.1 x 62.7 µm in size, with an elliptical ambitus; diporate, diameter of pore approximately 2 µm; four cells, three septa, septa black, straight, middle septum about 5 µm thick, not perforated, peripheral septa 3-5 µm thick, with ruptures that appear to be the result of damage; external wall thin, provided with multiple intrastriations that run parallel to the long axis, outer line smooth. COMMENTS* This new species is distinguished from the Diporicellaesporites specimens from Liaoning (On the Paleogene Dinoflagellates and Acritarchs from the Coastal Region of Bohai, 1978, p. 50, pl. 5, figs. 7-9) by its elliptical ambitus and its intrastriate ornamentation.
