ORIG DESCRIPTION

Fungal conidia with four processes. Main body rectangular in shape, dark brown in color, unicellular, surface closely beset with small-sized coni. Processes arise from one end of the body, are tubular, wider at the base and gradually taper towards the apices, aseptate; wall of processes smooth. Dimensions: length of the conidia: 98-110 µm; size of the body: 25-38 x 18-20 µm; size of the processes: 62-84 x 2-6 µm.
COMMENTS
*
Frasnacritetrus josettae Taugourdeau 1968 resembles this species but can be differentiated by its verrucate body wall. The present species differs from F. taugourdeaui in having a rectangular body ornamented with coni while in the latter the body is biconvex, spindle-shaped and granulose.
