SPECIES, AUTHORITY F. pullus Caspary & Klebs in Caspary 1907, p. 9, pl.1, fig. 2.
LOCATION Baltic area, Poland.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* A twig of Thuites is infested by a brown fungus that crawls over the leaf surface by making a net formed by anastomosis of the hyphal threads. Occasionally, cylindrical threads are branching off perpendicularly. The crawling hyphae are 2.07-3.03 µm in diameter, the vertical branches a bit thicker (3.03-4.0 µm) and ca 33-45 µm tall.
COMMENTS* With some variation in thickness of the hyphae, this fungus was observed on leaves of Chamaecyparis, Sequoia and Libocedrites, all in amber fragments.
