ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS: One-celled spore, narrowly fusiform in outline, tapering to form a short tube at each terminal end; two pores, situated on the tips of the short tubes; pore simple, unstructured, exine [i.e. spore wall] moderately thick, ornamentation various, but commonly thin and weak.
