8-10 x 28-32 µm (holotype 10 x 32 µm); two-celled, with a very dark septum; the striations of the surface extend to the extremities of the grain. [Jansonius & Hills (1980), card no. 3770.]

K&J REMARKS
Kalgutkar and Jansonius's (2000) transfer of this species to Fusiformisporites would have resulted in an illegitimate junior homonym; therefore, they proposed a new name: F. duenasii.
