K&J REMARKS Ke & Shi described two transverse folds "with the appearance of a septum." Kalgutkar and Jansonius's close scrutiny of the original plate showed the presence of a thin bright line just below these folds (i.e., about a few micrometers toward the hilum), that obviously has influenced the direction of these folds. From this observation, plus the overall shape of the grain, Kalgutkar and Jansonius (2000) felt justified to transfer the species to Hilidicellites (Ke & Shi grouped this form on their plate 4 alongside the dicellate Didymoporisporonites).
