ORIG DESCRIPTION
*
Reniform, bilateral, aseptate, psilate fungal spores. There is a longitudinal furrow for almost the full length of the body cavity, on the straighter side of the spore. Size ca. 13 x 26 µm overall. Spore wall ca. 1 µm, thickening to ca. 4 µm at the rounded apices which can be slightly protruding.

Length shorter than in Hypoxylonites sulekii and with very pronounced apical thickenings, as contrasted to Hypoxylonites gulfensis. Derivation:
