K&J REMARKS It appears that this name was not validly published because the author did not specify where the holotype is stored, and did not provide a Latin or English translation. (ICBN, Art. 36.3.)

The illustrated specimen, which is 50 x 35 µm, shows a superficial similarity to Helicoönites goosii Kalgutkar & Sigler 1995, but probably a stronger structural similarity to Staphlosporonites billelsikii nom. nov. (Kalgutkar and Jansonius's (2000) Pl. 15, figs. 8 and 12, resp.).
