SPECIES, AUTHORITY M. basidii (Elsik) Kalgutkar & Jansonius 2000
LOCATION Strip mine approximately 7 miles southwest of Rockdale, Milam County, Texas, USA.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Spatulate, apically monoporate, psilate spores 6 to 8 µm wide and 9 to 14 µm long. Wall smooth on both inner and outer surfaces. Wall of two layers of equal thickness. Both layers thin and bulge out somewhat at the pore. Apical pore very small, ca. 0.5 µm. No evidence of basal attachment area.
