LOCATION Eboliang and Dafengshan, Qaidam Basin, Qinghai Province, China.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Holotype 33 x 25 µm. Spore ovate; monoporate, diameter of pore more than 3 µm in lateral view, edge of pore not modified. Spore wall about 1 µm in thickness, surface smooth or scabrate, usually with folds. Spore dark brown.
COMMENTS* Similar to Monoporisporites stoveri Elsik, M. koenigii Elsik, M. smithii Elsik, and M. singularis Sheffy & Dilcher; however, M. stoveri and M. koenigii (Elsik 1968, p. 272, pl. 2, figs. 23 and 31; pl. 3, fig. 1) have a convex pore, M. smithii (Elsik 1968, p. 272-273, pl. 3, fig. 2) has a larger size, and M. singularis (Sheffy & Dilcher [1971] has a thicker spore wall.
