K&J REMARKS It appears that this name was not validly published because the author did not specify where the holotype is stored, and did not provide a Latin or English translation. (ICBN, Art. 36.3.)

The illustrated, nearly spherical, specimen is 64 µm in size (and in overall shape resembles the specimens in Kalgutkar and Jansonius's (2000) Pl. 3, figs. 29, 33 and 35).

The more classic form of the epithet would be "giganteus".
