LOCATION Panshan, Liaoning Province, Coastal region of Bohai, China.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Spores 63 x 20 µm. Outline prolate elliptical or elongated cingulate (zonate). Inaperturate. Six-celled, spore slightly constricted at septa, cells at each end circular or subcircular in shape, all other cells drum-shaped. Septa dark-colored, 1-2 µm wide. Spore wall of medium thickness, surface scabrate. Spore surface covered with a membrane-like coat.
COMMENTS* Spores in this new species are similar to those in Multicellaesporites grandiusculus Sheffy & Dilcher 1971 (pl. 14, fig. 51) as far as shape is concerned, but they are distinguished by their somewhat more narrowly elongated body and the membrane-like coat over their outer surface.
