LOCATION
ORIG DESCRIPTION* ORIGINAL DIAGNOSIS: Spores brownish yellow to pale yellow, 4-celled, fusiform, diporate, cells unequal in size, basal and apical cells much smaller than two central cells; transverse septa three, central septum straight, other two septa curved. One simple pore at each end of spore along its long axis. Spore wall rugulate-reticuloid.

Monotypic.
COMMENTS* Common in the Cannanore lignite. The genus Fusiformisporites, although more or less similar in shape, differs from Ornasporonites in possessing only a single septum and it is longitudinally ribbed and inaperturate. The authors consider this spore type to represent ascospores.
