LOCATION Muir of Rhynie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Characterized by the peculiar grouping of the stalked vesicles, which burst through the surface of a partially decayed stem in oval patches; vesicles widen out gradually from their hyphal stalks. Diameter of hyphal stalk, up to 24 µm. Transverse diameter of vesicle, up to 100 µm. Occurred in a decayed portion of a stem of Rhynia gwynne-vaughani.
