ORIG DESCRIPTION
*
Spores 32-70 x 18-42 µm. Outline slightly conical. Inaperturate. Composed of 5-6 cells, cells diminish in size from base to apex of spore, apical cells might be curved. Septa black, of unequal width, widths ranging from 2 to 8 µm. Spore wall 1.5-3 µm thick, surface psilate.
COMMENTS
*
The spores in this species bear a certain relationship to those in Multicellaesporites incurvus, but differ both in body size and in the shape of their component cells. Apical cells are usually circular in M. incurvus, but most cells are flattened in the species described here.
