SPECIES, AUTHORITY P. idahoensis Traverse & Ash 1994, p. 667, fig. 3.6.
LOCATION Wallowa terrane in Hells Canyon, Idaho, USA.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Four-six cells, three-five septa; cells 12-18 µm wide, 6-14 µm long (in direction of long axis of specimen), except for basal and apical cells, which are considerably smaller; septa have thickenings up to 5 µm wide on outer edges of specimens; one apical cell somewhat conical and contains pore; whole spore body has outline of fat sausage with slight constrictions between septa.
COMMENTS* The specimen illustrated by Vagvolgyi & Hills (1969, pl. 6, fig. 2) and identified as "cf. Brachysporisporites" could well belong to this taxon.

Etymology: idahoensis refers to state of Idaho.
