Naera and Baraia area of Kutch, India.
ORIG DESCRIPTION

Surface view, spores horizontally septate, 45 x 8.5 µm in size, borne on short pedicel, 8-11 septa. Apical cell dome-shaped. Others rectangular; faint germ pores present. Exine ca. 1 µm thick, brown.
COMMENTS
*
The specific name is in reference to the rectangular shape of the cells. Pluricellaesporites psilatus Clarke 1965 differs from the present species in having bidentate septa. Pluricellaesporites scabiosus Clarke 1965 has bidentate septa and its cell wall is covered with short echinate projections. Botanical affinity: Teliospore of Uredinales.
