K&J REMARKS The holotype, identified by size, is the smaller specimen, on the left, in fig. 59. Neither photograph of the two specimens demonstrates an (axial or otherwise) pore at the rounded apex. Elsik et al. (1990, p. 101), however, transferred the species to Anatolinites, and illustrated a specimen that closely resembles the holotype in overall aspect, and shows a very narrow pore traversing the distal pole of the spore. They emended the description of the species, and drew attention to the tendency of the individual cells of the spore to break loose by splitting along the septa.
