LOCATION Puryear clay pit, one-half mile south of Puryear, Henry County, Tennessee, USA.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Phragmospore 3.9 x 26.6 µm, six irregular shaped cells, slight constriction between some cells. Pigment light, psilate, pore in terminal tapered cell. Five translucent septa, wall 0.5 µm thick.
COMMENTS* The specific name describes the long slender shape of the spore.
