Puryear clay pit, one-half mile south of Puryear, Henry County, Tennessee, USA.
ORIG DESCRIPTION

Phragmospore 3.9 x 26.6 µm, six irregular shaped cells, slight constriction between some cells. Pigment light, psilate, pore in terminal tapered cell. Five translucent septa, wall 0.5 µm thick.
COMMENTS

The specific name describes the long slender shape of the spore.
