LOCATION Roannais area in central France, near Lay.
ORIG DESCRIPTION* Sporocarp 500-600 µm in diameter; peridium two-parted with outer component approximately 100 µm thick and bounded by delicate epidermis-like covering, outer wall constructed of sometimes bulbous, interlaced hyphae 6-30 µm in diameter, and inner zone 50 µm thick formed of hyphae 3-10 µm in diameter; sporocarp attached by hyphal stalk? approximately 45 µm in diameter; spore 350 µm in diameter with wall approximately 4 µm thick.
COMMENTS* Etymology: bivitilis refers to the bi-layered interwoven hyphal organization of the sporocarp wall.
