ORIG DESCRIPTION

Thallus epiphyllous, dark brown, from 18-150 µm in width, frequently narrow-elongate with many lobes and some branches, sometimes broader and more leaf-like in form. Cells 3-7 µm broad and 5-8 µm long with straight, firm walls. Ascomata 72-90 µm in diameter, darker brown than thallus, opening by an irregular fissure.
COMMENTS

Trichopeltinites pulcher is strikingly similar to the extant species Trichopeltis reptans Speg. and undoubtedly is closely allied to, if not identical with, that species. On the upper surface of leaves of Oleinites willisii Yallourn and Hazelwood, Victoria.
