ORIG DESCRIPTION

Ascostromata mostly subcircular, 45-105 x 40-98 µm, dimidiate, ostiolate; ostiole surrounded by a wall of few cells thick. Hyphae radially arranged but do not anastomose to form distinct pseudoparenchymatous cells.
COMMENTS
*
The present species is distinguished from Notothyrites setifer Cookson 1947a, N. airensis Cookson 1947a and N. denticulatus Ramanujam & Rao 1973 by its lack of distinct pseudoparenchymatous cells.
