| Abstract: | We recorded the genus Lycogaster for the first time from India with the species L. rufiventris (Magretti, 1897) from northeastern India. on further examination of images provided by Smith & tripotin (2015) of L. rufiventris (Magretti, 1897) it is found to be a new species Lycogaster smithi van Achterberg sp. nov.. |
